"The Metamorphosis of the Birds" (from Catarina Vasconcelos) was in 2020 "the Portuguese film with more presences at festivals across the world and the most award-winning", having been recognized, in particular, with audience distinctions from various countries, also from the critique and with awards for best picture, best documentary and best achievement, om 25 international awards, premiered at the Berlin Film Festival where it won the FIPRESCI Prize for Best Picture, or exhibited at the San Sebastian Film Festival where it received the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera Award for Best Picture, among many others in exhibitions in more than 60 top festivals in the whole world, or commercial distribution in China, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Poland, Ireland, Lithuania

And his production was in charge of Peter Fernandes Duarte, former film student of the Higher School of Theatre and Cinema.

Between the fiction and the documentary, "The metamorphosis of birds" summons the family ties of a father and a daughter-the director-, rescuing the past that unites them, through the relationship of the paternal grandfathers of Catherine Vasconcelos and in particular of the grandmother Beatriz, who she never knew.
